Kandern is situated in the ambitious region "Regio Trirhena". This trinational european economic unit in the upper Rhine valley covers 8700 m² in France, Germany and Switzerland with a population of more than 2 millions.
The place benefits from its closeness to the hub of the region, Basel(CH)-Lörrach-Weil am Rhein(D), to the european network of trunk roads and the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg.
